Get to Know Vanessa
I've been hairdressing for over 30 years, and during that time I've met so many incredible people and heard so many personal stories while they've sat in my chair. For 15 years, I worked as a Colour Educator for Wella, traveling, teaching, and supporting other stylists. I loved it - not just the creativity, but the connection, the teaching, and helping people feel confident in their craft.

As the years went on, I started seeing something that really stayed with me: more and more clients quietly telling me their hair was thinning, shedding or "just not the same anymore". Often, they would say it with embarrassment or worry. I realised how deeply hair affects our confidence and how little real support many people were getting.

That's what changed everything for me.....

I wanted to understand why this happens and how I could genuinely help, not just offer a nice haircut and a reassuring word. So I studied Trichology with Trichocare, diving into the science behind the hair, scalp health, hormones, diet, stress, and overall wellbeing. It opened up a completely new understanding of the clients I had been seeing for years. I now mentor others training to become Trichologists.

I also trained in wig fitting, cutting, and styling, learning the different types of wigs and how to make them look and feel natural. That training gave me the confidence to support clients going through some the hardest moments in their lives. From medical treatments to sudden hair loss they never expected.

Today, my work is about more than hair. It's about listening, educating, supporting, and helping people feel like themselves again, Whether it's thinning, shedding, patches or complete loss, I'm here to guide clients with compassion, honesty, and the knowledge I've gained over the decades.

Hair might be what brings people to me, but my goal is always to help them walk out feeling understood, supported and more confident.
